He Answers Prayer

"That if you confess with your mouth, 'Jesus is Lord,' and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.  For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved (Romans 10:9, 10)."  (Baptism is also a public confession of faith-following salvation.)

"What good is it, my brothers, if a man claims to have faith but has no deeds?...faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead (James 2:14, 17)."

"If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us.  If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:8, 9)."

"Make every effort to enter through the narrow door, because many, I tell you, will try to enter and will not be able to (Luke 13:24)."

"...I chose you and appointed you to go and bear fruit-fruit that will last.  Then the father will give you whatever you ask in my name.  This is my command: Love each other (John 15:16, 17)."

"If you love me, you will obey what I command (John 14:15)."

"Jesus replied: 'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind'.  This is the first and greatest commandment.  And the second is like it: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.'  All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments (Matthew 22:37-40)."

"If we deliberately keep on sinning after we have received the knowledge of the truth, no sacrifice for sins is left, but only a fearful expectation of judgment and of raging fire that will consume the enemies of God (Hebrews 10:26, 27)."
